Where is our coffee from?

You may notice that we've called our blends, Seasonal Medium Roast and Signature Espresso Roast, which doesn't give much clue as to where the Shade Grown and Bird Friendly coffee is actually from...

There is good reason for this...

As you can read on our What is Bird Friendly page and What is Shade Grown page,  our coffee is Certified by the Smithsonian Institute to be Bird Friendly and Shade Grown, as well as Certified as Fairtrade by the Fairtrade Foundation and Organic by the Soil Association.

With such certified coffees produced in limited quantities, it's far more challenging to source all year round and involves us sourcing from projects in multiple coffee projects in South and Central America including Honduras, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico.

These coffees are washed process coffees and are roasted and blended for a consistent cup profile all year round, though of course, as a natural food product, our taste profile may vary slightly. 

In future, our plans are to launch single origin shade grown and bird friendly coffees, but we must walk before we can run, so currently, we don't list our coffee origins, but feel free to get in touch through the Contact Us page and we'll let you know what we're currently roasting.
